Export a version
Your website is yours
Section titled “Your website is yours”You can export any kept version of your website, whenever you like. You get one zip file with the finished website, its texts and its images.
You can also export each website’s statistics, and a copy of your account.
Exporting is free, and you never need to ask us. What you do with the files is up to you: keep them, put the website on another host, or hand them to your assistant.
Export a version in Studio
Section titled “Export a version in Studio”- Open the website in the Panel.
- Under “Versions”, find the version you want.
- Press “Export”. Studio says “Preparing…”.
- Your browser opens and saves the zip.
Export a version in the Panel
Section titled “Export a version in the Panel”- Open the Panel and choose “Websites”.
- Choose the website, then “Versions”.
- Press “Export” beside the version. It says “Preparing…”.
- The zip downloads: “A zip with the finished website, its texts and its images.”
Which versions you can export
Section titled “Which versions you can export”Every version that is still kept:
- a free website keeps its latest version;
- a website with a subscription keeps its latest 30;
- when a subscription ends, the older versions stay 14 days more.
A version marked “Gone” cannot be exported: “This version is no longer kept, so it can no longer be exported.” Read Versions and going back.
You can still export when your account is paused, when a website was taken down after a report, and for 30 days after you close your account.
What is in a version’s zip
Section titled “What is in a version’s zip”The zip is named after the website and the version, for example example-bakery-version-3.zip.
| In the zip | What it holds | Format |
|---|---|---|
about.txt | What each folder is, the version and its dates, and how the contact form works outside Tsurito | Plain text, in your account’s language |
website/ | The finished website: every page and file as it was published | HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images, fonts and the other files of the website |
website/images/ | The website’s original images and files, once, exactly as they were added | As they were added, for example JPEG, PNG, WebP, SVG or PDF |
content/ | The texts the website was made from | JSON |
The website folder opens on any web host that serves plain files. Its addresses (the canonical address of each page, sitemap.xml and robots.txt) carry the website’s main address on the day you export: its own domain, or else its address on tsurito.app.
The contact form outside Tsurito
Section titled “The contact form outside Tsurito”On Tsurito, messages from the form arrive in your email through us. In the exported website, the form opens the visitor’s own email program instead, with a message addressed to the contact email of the website.
That email is the one in content/site/site.json. A website with no contact email has a form that sends nowhere outside Tsurito. Read The contact form and WhatsApp.
What is not in it
Section titled “What is not in it”What Tsurito adds while it serves your website stays with Tsurito:
- the badge;
- the counting of visitors;
- the protection of the form from spam.
What we made to build websites is ours, and is not exported either:
- the designs’ code and the design library;
- the instructions and guides your assistant reads;
- the configuration of the editor;
- our scripts;
- how websites, versions and projects are organised.
You need none of it to take your website elsewhere: the website in the zip is complete, with its look.
Export a website’s statistics
Section titled “Export a website’s statistics”In the Panel, the same in Studio and on the web:
- Open the Panel and choose “Websites”.
- Choose the website, then “Visitors”.
- Press “Export statistics”.
- The zip downloads: “The statistics are downloading.”
What is in the statistics’ zip
Section titled “What is in the statistics’ zip”The zip is named after the website and the day, for example example-bakery-statistics-2026-10-13.zip. It holds an about.txt and these files:
| File | Columns | What it holds |
|---|---|---|
daily.csv | Date, Visits, Page views | Each of the last 90 days. A day with no visits shows 0. |
pages.csv | Page, Page views | The pages seen in those 90 days, the most seen first, up to 1,000 |
sources.csv | Where visits come from, Visits | Up to 200. Direct means the address, a bookmark or an app. |
countries.csv | Country, Visits | Named in your account’s language, up to 200 |
devices.csv | Device, Visits | Mobile, Computer, Tablet and Other |
monthly.csv | Period, Page views, Space (bytes), Messages | Every month we keep. Space is the most the website used that month. |
How to read them:
- They are CSV files in UTF-8: commas between values, and a first row naming each column. Any spreadsheet opens them.
- The column names are in your account’s language.
- Dates are written year-month-day, for example 2026-10-13.
- In
monthly.csv, a period such as 2026-10 is a calendar month. A full date is a month of the subscription, starting that day.
When the website does not count its visitors, the zip holds only about.txt and monthly.csv. Read Limits and extras.
A copy of your account
Section titled “A copy of your account”The copy of your account holds what we keep about you and your account. It is one zip file:
about-this-copy.txt: what the copy is, in plain text;account.json: your account, your subscriptions, your websites with their versions and what happened to each one, in JSON;services/contacts/: your contacts, when the account has any, with the same files as the contacts export. Read Export your contacts.
Your websites are not in it: you export them one by one, as above. Read Download a copy of your account.
How many a day
Section titled “How many a day”Each account can export up to 20 versions and 20 sets of statistics a day. Beyond that, the screen says when you can export again. Nothing is lost.
When an export does not start
Section titled “When an export does not start”- “Version 3 cannot be exported: its files are no longer kept. Try another version.” Choose another version.
- “This version is still on its way up. Try again in a moment.” The version is still being published. Wait a little and press “Export” again.
